Chanju –III HEP is located near village Dantoi in District Chamba of Himachal Pradesh. The project has been contemplated as a run-of-the river scheme on Chanju nallah. It envisages utilization of combined waters of Chanju nallah and Mehad nallah through a gross head of 473.41m for generation of 48 MW of power in an underground power house on the left bank of Chanju nallah. The project is expected to generate 176.19 MU in a 90% dependable year.
