Dhamwari Sunda HEP

Dhamwari Sunda HEP (70 MW) has been allotted to HPPCL by Government of Himachal Pradesh (GoHP) on 06.04.2015 for execution in the State Sector. The project is proposed on the Pabbar River in Rohru sub-division at a distance of about 165 km from Shimla. It is a run of river type development in which part of the flow available in the upper reach of the Pabbar river will be diverted by constructing a diversion structure across the river at Romai Village about 800 m d/stream of the ongoing Tangnu-Romai Hydel Project (44 MW). The water conductor system is aligned on the right bank of the river and power house is proposed in village Chirgaon up stream of proposed Chirgaon Majhgaon HEP. Project shall have a total installed capacity of 70MW and is expected to generate 274 MU of energy in 90% dependable year.
